Privacy Policy

MYBOXai is operated by Savage Props LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the MYBOXai app and trymyboxai.com collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hi@trymyboxai.com.

The short version

  • We don't sell your personal information and we don't show ads.
  • We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • Your inventory, photos and quotes are private to your account.
  • AI identify, helping train our own AI, and anonymous totals are all off unless you turn them on, and you can turn each off anytime in the app under Settings → Data & AI choices.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and name, or a guest account with no email. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the details you choose to share.
  • Your inventory: photos you take or choose, item names, descriptions, notes, spaces, bins, check-outs, quotes, and customer contact details you enter (names, phone numbers, addresses).
  • App usage: which features are used, plus crash and performance data, so we can fix problems and improve the app.
  • Choices you make: a record of when you turned each data choice on or off, and which version of the wording you saw.

We don't collect your contacts, precise location, health data or browsing history.

How we use it

  • To run the app: save and sync your inventory, show your photos on your devices, and let you search.
  • To provide support and fix problems.
  • To understand which features are used, so we can improve them.
  • For the optional uses below, only if you turn them on.

Where your photos are stored

Photos and inventory are stored with our cloud provider in a private folder that only your account can open in the app. Our staff can access stored data only to provide support, fix problems, or when required by law.

AI identify (optional)

When AI identify is on and you tap Identify, we send that photo to our current AI provider, OpenAI, which returns suggested item names for you to review. Nothing is sent until you tap. AI identify is off until you turn it on. If we change AI providers, we'll tell you and ask again. Free accounts get 15 AI identifies a day.

Helping build our own AI (optional)

If you opt in, we may use your photos, item names, descriptions and the corrections you make to train and test MYBOXai's own item-recognition model, so that in the future identification can happen without sending photos to an outside company. We remove personal details we can detect (such as people's names in item names) before using it. Contributors get extra AI identifies per day as a thank-you. Saying no never limits anything else. Turning it off stops new use.

Anonymous totals (optional)

If you opt in, your items may be counted in statistics we publish or share with partners, for example "400 moving boxes across 1,000 users". Totals only come from large groups (at least 50 accounts per figure) and never include names, emails, photos, precise locations, or anything that identifies you or your business. Your individual inventory is never sold.

Who we share data with

Only service providers that help us run MYBOXai, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Cloud hosting and storage (Supabase)
  • AI identify, only when you use it (OpenAI)
  • Email delivery for sign-in links and support (Resend)
  • App sign-in, if you choose it (Apple, Google)
  • App updates and crash reports (Expo)

We may also share information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy still applies to your data.

Businesses using MYBOXai

When a business uses MYBOXai to manage its own inventory, that business controls its data and we process it on its behalf. That is not a sale of data.

Keeping and deleting your data

  • Trash: items you remove go to Trash and are permanently deleted after 30 days, or right away with Delete forever.
  • Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, or email hi@trymyboxai.com. Your account and data are permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period. Email us during that time to cancel. Delete-account steps
  • Get a copy of your data: export it in the app, or email hi@trymyboxai.com.

Children

You must be 13 or older to use MYBOXai. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email hi@trymyboxai.com and we'll delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, and to opt out of certain uses. Use the in-app settings above or email hi@trymyboxai.com; we'll respond within 30 days. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your privacy choices

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to your account, and staff access is limited to support and legal needs. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Changes

If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app before they apply to you.
